A New Era for Augusta Hockey

Hockey is making a major comeback in Augusta with the construction of a state-of-the-art 10,500-seat arena set to open in 2027. It will replace the iconic James Brown Arena, which was once home to the Augusta Lynx Hockey Team. The new venue will bring in a new era for hockey in the city, offering modern amenities such as suites, loge boxes, a private club lounge, and a direct connection to the Bell Auditorium. This cutting-edge facility promises to deliver a world-class experience for fans and establish Augusta as a premier destination for sports and entertainment.

A Partnership That Benefits the Community

The Oak View Group donated $10 million to fund the ice rink installation, showing their commitment to bringing hockey successfully back to Augusta at no cost to taxpayers. A study showed strong potential for the arena and the return of hockey, signaling a promising future for this venture.

A Collaborative Effort for Progress

As Augusta embraces this exciting chapter, Enoch Tarver is honored to have been part of the journey. The return of hockey is more than just a sporting event; it’s an investment in our community, culture, and local economy.

While our community grows, initiatives like this arena reflect the city’s forward momentum, and we’re thrilled to be part of its progress!
